When Lily had her heart surgery and we walked in to the recovery room I did okay for a second (she was only 6 days old and in drug-induced paralysis so I didn't have to see thrashing) but then I lost it and had to run out of the room. I swear there's nothing worse than seeing your little one in pain.sterlingandbrandihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13741412494812263560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938164803984617339.post-70773730623458195842009-01-18T12:46:00.000-05:002009-01-18T12:46:00.000-05:00I'm SO sorry! Emma was screaming and thrashing as three men took her from my arms to sedate her. Jeff lost it. I guess I felt as the mom I had to hold it together or something because I managed. I'm so glad to hear he's recovering well. It's so hard to see them suffer.Alyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05301489436039664258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938164803984617339.post-89664728065265473702009-01-18T10:38:00.000-05:002009-01-18T10:38:00.000-05:00That is so sad. My heart broke. I think watching our children stuggle through a surgery and recovery we know is for their best is one of the hardest things a mother can bear. When I woke up, I was in the process of throwing up blood. It was pretty upsetting. Poor little Max! That picture of him on the hospital bed is really sad. I hope he's feeling better soon!Elizabeth Downiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14985143085882983821noreply@blogger.com
