Haircut

Yesterday Marianne told me if I didn't trim Max's hair she was going to come over and do it herself.  So to save her the trip... last night Max was eating his dinner and I came up behind him and cut a big chunk off the bottom.  He froze as I started doing it, then turned around and said, "What that mama?"  I tried to hide it, but finally told him I cut his hair.  Instead of freaking out like I expected, he said "Do again Mama, do again."  So I kept going and he would giggle and pull his shoulder up to his ear every time he heard a snip.
When I finished, very pleased with the both of us, I sat down next to him and he sad, "Now Max cut Mama's hair."  We had a stern talk about how he is never to cut anyone's hair, but if you are the mother of one of his friends I wouldn't leave your child alone with him anytime soon.

That is funny! Actually, maybe I will leave Nikolai alone with him and Max can finish what Nikolai wouldn't let me finish. :)

I'm impressed that he actually said "do it again"...Ethan screams when he gets his haircut & moves so much that I don't dare to cut it myself anymore for fear that he might lose an eye or ear. He responded the same with the hairdresser too (bribery by suckers didn't even work) so count yourself lucky that Max willingly let you cut. ( :

we've had our fair share of self-service stylists. santi cut almost the entire length off her hair on her fourth bday. then a year later, almost to the day, she opened up a salon in my closet to her BFF lexi and cut about 10 inches of her hair. from the top and in the front. right before lexi was supposed to be a flower girl. they were alone for like 5 minutes, they must have plotted long before the dreadful cut. thankfully, no stylings since. phew!

Why wouldn't you let him have a turn on you?

Nice job on the "do". It looks like you're good at fading. Beck is DRAMA when I buzz him, so hopefully he'll eventually start enjoying it like Max.
