Aviva's Cake

We wised up with Aviva and didn't have a big party for her first birthday.  Instead, we just had her cousins over and spent the money on this beaut:
A coconut and chocolate cake with vanilla swiss and Belgium chocolate butter cream.  Mmm.  Way better than a party.  And I think it's safe to say she enjoyed it:

A cake in the hand (and face) is far better than a house full of party goers. :) Happy birthday Aviva!

On my last birthday, my mother-in-law asked me about my favorite childhood birthday. Sadly, I couldn't really think of one. But I remember a lot of good cake. So maybe you and my mom have something in common.

That cake is making me hungry. I wonder if it tastes better if you eat it with your hands?

PS, Aviva is really cute. :)

Hey Jill,

We got the cake from Zingerman's. I highly recommend it!
