I Love...

when Aviva gets up from a nap.  She grabs a fistful of my hair in both of her hands, then nuzzles her head into my shoulder.  It's like a little baby hug.

when I feed Aviva, her eyes are closed and she absent-mindedly bats at my hair with her fist or grabs on tight to the top of my shirt.

when Aviva hears my voice and starts looking all around trying to find me.

when Max says something in his upset voice and instead of putting his hands on his hips, he puts them in his armpits with his elbows sticking out.

when max tries to comfort the baby when she is crying by holding her hand or patting her head.  The other day while Abram was at work I heard him saying to her, "Miss Daddy, baby?  It's all right, he be back in a second."

when Max insists on wearing his hat backwards.  Which is mostly every time he leaves the house.

Those pictures are SO cute. Aviva is getting so big I can't believe it!
I also love your PBS story. That's exactly the kind of thing I would love to film. Thanks for the heads up.
And what's this Garrett tells me about you becoming a professional chef?

Do you love the Bumbo seat? I wanted one so bad when Beck was smaller, but Jeff kept complaining about how we wouldn't use it long enough to get our money's worth. He obviously doesn't spend all day at home. :) I'm definitely getting one next time around.

Larissa, actually, the bumbo was recalled because the warning label (to not use it in high places) wasn't big enough or some other such nonsense. So this is a generic one and the soft part that is in the front broke and it comes off every time I put her in or take her out. Very annoying. I'm just waiting until Bumbo comes back out and I'm re-investing.

I love both those pictures and I love the images of the kids doing those things, so sweet.

Those were so adorable. I'm so glad you're writing down all of these great little things they say and do. They will love it when they get older.

Don't place your infant in a bumbo and proceed to perch said infant and chair on the edge of your kitchen counter while you go and have a shower. You may be dismayed at the result. Oh, and while you're at it, don't use your hair dryer while you are in the shower. Just in case you didn't know.

These are the wonderful little things that make all the more tedious tasks of motherhood so worth it. These pictures are adorable. I wish I was nearer to see them in person.

I knew that would rile you up KA :) I was pretty bummed when I found out after your glowing reviews.

I love the "I love's"! I can totally picture your kids doing and saying all of those things and it makes me smile :-) I think I'll have to put up an "I love" post sometime too...cute idea.
