Friday

Today we flew to Alice Springs with Mom and Dad.  The flight was blessedly uneventful.  We stopped for lunch and then went straight to the church for a missionary zone conference.  Dad asked Abram and I to speak and I’m so glad he did.  I really enjoyed Abram’s talk, and I loved remembering and retelling so many meaningful stories from my mission in Argentina.

Watching Dad teach the missionaries was wonderful.  I just kept thinking, do these 20 year old kids have any idea how lucky they are to have him as a mission president?  My mom didn’t speak because she was kind enough to watch our kids so we would have the chance to participate.

It was a great day, but it’s only 7:30 and I am utterly exhausted (Abram made it until 7 before he fell asleep).  That seems to be a running theme throughout this trip.

Thanks for all these great posts you're making for us! We'll have to play some scrabble with you when you get back.

Even the mssionaries who aren't 20 year old realize how very blessed they are to have your father for a mission president We also loved the talks and spirit you and Abram shared with us.
