Home Improvements

Our marriage almost ended this weekend and all because of home improvements.  I am officially in the market for a handyman.  (Not to replace my husband - just in case that wasn't clear).

Oh how I feel your pain. We almost never got married in the first place thanks to the paining of our house 2 weeks before the wedding.

Which project were you working on?

Funny. Shawn spent another Saturday replacing light bulbs (this house goes through them like nothing I've ever seen before) and while I love him with all my heart, this is as handy as he gets. Everything else is "hire out." : )

Sounds like Abram WAS the perfect fit for our family.

Yeah, I feel your pain - every time Chris touches a hammer, Kate learns a new word!

I feel your pain too! Try finishing basement together.

Any forthcoming details on what home improvements were undertaken? If it makes you feel any better, Brian and I have been on the brink of divorce at least 4,286 times - an estimate of the number of projects during our marriage. And see? We still haven't learned to just hire it out.

abe and i built a house last year and when we decided that we were going to sell it instead of live it in...married life became a lot happier. ;) I was surprised with how much Abe cared about the decor. isn't that my job?! good luck. And I made that baked pasta from your recipe blog...wow, that was good! thanks!

I bet you guys miss Teem for that reason, if nothing else, eh? I don't know how the Quinn's survive without him. :)

We have been working on changing the light fixture in our dining room for a month now. Every time we do something we discover a new problem and have to make a trip to home depot. I will spare you the boring details. The light is up and it works. We finally hung up our huge mirror in the dining room too, that only took 2 trips to home depot. We put up shelves above our desk and one fell down, so we had to make a second attempt at that this weekend too. Argh. I hate this stuff.
