Who Knew?

Today was the first day of 3:00 church for the coming year. Before you prepare yourself for griping and complaining... I loved it.

We had a leisurely morning and got everything ready for church before noon. We put both kids and ourselves down for naps at 12:00, got up at 2:30, and walked out the door arriving with plenty of time to spare. Max went off to nursery and Aviva had already had 2 good naps, so missing her 3rd wasn't a big deal. We got home, ate dinner and put Max to bed.

I couldn't ask for a better Sunday.

We just switched to 3:30 church. Nothing like walking out of church into a pitch black parking lot! But I will say it is a little better with the nap schedule. I just need to get a good repatoire of crock-pot recipes or else we'll be eating sandwiches for Sunday dinner for the rest of the year.

I thought I'd love our new 11am church time, but after today I think I'd actually take the 3 pm time. One word: Naptime (or is it two) :)

Funny how it is imperative that church schedule coincide with nap schedule (for both moms, dads, and kids)...I'll take church at anytime as long as my kids get decent naps in!

We just moved to 9am. I am not loving it. Not only do we miss one nap for Ellie, but 9am? Who can get themselves looking presentable, and three kids by 8:30am? That would require setting an alarm clock. NO THANKS!

I'm surprised, but glad you posted this! When I read "3:00" I thought yikes, but you helped me to have a change of heart. I've often heard moms complain about the nap/church thing, but I'm totally understanding it now!

Thanks for your post..I totally needed it! I was having a bad attitude about our 3:30 church but after reading your post I think I just need to rearrange my point of view and take a nap along with my chilluns!
