I took Max to the circus. I was excited to get some Max and Mommy time. Whenever it's just the two of us, he says, "No baby. Juuuu-st Max." I was also excited because, let's be honest, I figured it would make good blog material. But no. He pretty much just stood there looking like this the whole time:

Looking at the faces in the crowd around him, it looks like everyone pretty much had the same reaction.
some of those faces are scary. luckily max looks adorable. as usual. i love the tights story too. so you now can add tights to the list with sequins and skirts.
i try to do things just so ican blog about them, too. hence the marathon.
the lesson we all learn is that doing things just to blog about them will not convince you that you like running if you actually hate it and it will not entice your toddler to say anything outrageous at the circus.
max is cute no matter what, though. that's where your plan works better than mine.
