New Year's Eve 2008

I really don't like New Year's Eve. In fact, I don't think I've been awake to ring in the new year in at least 4 years. However, Abram convinced me that we have to own this holiday. So we threw a rockin' New Year's Eve Game Night party.

Dan Richards stole the show by working everyone in the board game rotation and then when we played the newlywed game he went up with Janie since both of them were spouseless and they still got one question right (which is more than I can say for some couples... you know who you are).

For Christmas Abram bought me a chocolate fountain (fondue) and I think it's safe to say it was the hit of the party. Shawn for one admitted to standing by the table all by himself, seeing how many strawberries he could down before someone came along and he had to make conversation. He has requested that we have it again, just the four of us, covered in plastic bags so he doesn't have to worry about stuffing his face and looking uncouth. (apparently he doesn't care was Abram, Lisa and I think of him).

That was a rockin' Party. So fun and such great company and the food was to die for! Thanks!

I also had the most delightful New Year's Eve that I've had in MANY years. But still I lament missing yet another game night.

Happy New Year! Sorry you guys were so sick, but I'm glad you at least felt better by Christmas Eve.

Sounds like a great party. I wish we could have been there, even if it was at the kiddie table ;-). That is so funny that Shawn just hung by the chocolate fondue.

I'm so glad you updated since my sister has apparently sworn off blogging. At least I can see some pictures of my niece and nephew on your blog.

You guys do own New Years Eve now, it is official. Such a blast of a party! Not just cause we WON BIG TIME at the Newlywed game. The choc fountain was great, but by far the food was way better. Those artichoke yummies are to die for. I think I was doing what Shawn was doing, but at the other table. Shh, don't tell. Thanks for the fun night, we had a ball!

I do miss parties with you and Shauri and the whole group. I can hardly wait to try out the fondue fountain.

It also dawned on me how many of those people I don't know. Will I know anyone in the ward when I return?
